Attorney Jose A. Oliveros

Jose A. Oliveros practices primarily focuses on immigration and family matters.

Originally from Sahuayo, Michoacan, Mexico, Jose had to navigate the immigration process himself before becoming a naturalized United States citizen in 2007.  As a result of that experience, he developed a commitment to help others through the complex legal barriers that often come up in the U.S. immigration system.

As a law student, Jose worked as the first Student Director of the ASU Immigration Initiative, a Pro Bono organization sponsored by Arizona State University, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the J. Reuben Clark Law Society that provides legal support to the immigrant community.  As he worked to successfully launch the project in Arizona, he gained valuable experience working with experienced immigration attorneys to provide reliable legal advice and to ensure that other law students received hands-on experience in immigration law.

After graduating from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University,  Jose initially worked for a well-regarded public interest law firm in downtown Phoenix where he gained additional experience in a variety of legal fields including family, probate, and civil litigation matters.

Now, Jose applies his broad range of experience to each of his client’s unique circumstances.  His goal is to help his clients understand their options and navigate the often complex legal system.

Jose is fluent in Spanish.
